macro function

Advise needed on following: Macros

re: MS Office 2007.

I am using macros frequently.
I am recording the macros manualy, in MS-word and in MS-excel.

Since a couple of days the macros in MS-word return with:
"sub of function is not defined (fault 35)".

I did try to use VBA directly, no success.

Thanks in advance for the support to solve this problem.

Macro function

The macros I wrote in MS Office 2007 / in word as well in excel, did work well.

Since some time the macros in "word" after clicking give:
"sub of function is not defined" (fault 35).

Trying to remove the macro give the same: "sub of function is not defined"(fault 35)

The macros in "excel" function correctly.

have a nice day,

It sounds like something in the Word is corrupt.
Have you tried deleting normal.dot so that word can create a new one?

As you suggested, I did remove normal.dot in "Word" MS-Office 2007.
No succes, problem unchanged.

Trying to remove the macro gives the same result as clicking it to function:
"Sub of function is not defined (fault 35)".

Trying to correct the macro gives also "Sub of function is not defined (fault 35)".

Awaiting further suggestions,
have a nice day,

Macros in Word are stored in the template used for the document - either normal.dot or a custom template of your own choosing.

I would posit that the problem is that you are trying to execute a macro that no longer exists.

It seems that my macro-problem in MS-word, Office 2007 is solved.

Through: "AppData --> Roaming --> Microsoft --> Templates", I did remove the "Normal.dot" as well as the "Customized" templates.

It did work out.
Thanks for the help and the time you have spent for it.

remark:
I could not find what the root-cause was, so it can happen any moment again.
Unless you have any further suggestion to prevent this problem.

have a nice day,
carl dusseldorp
