What does ITIL name the team role which is responsible to gather business requirements and lead the IT procurement (RFI, RFQ,RFPs, Tenders, and manage the project tell the implementation, and deployment?
In ITIL there is Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operations, etc. So where does the above NEW SERVICE PROJECT fit in these phases?
IMO building and delivering a new service product is a lot like building and delivering an existing product. Sure the tasks are a bit different, but in the end a deliverable is being produced that flows out of the IT pipeline the same way existing services do.
