Who is legally responsible for data leak on a mobile work laptop?
That depends on the the particulars of the situation such as laptop ownership, usage policies and agreements, employment contracts, the nature of the data, etc.
It's not allowed by most at our office. Work can be done away from the office but most of the sites we share information on is only able to be accessed from the office. Good idea then leaking information isn't an issue.
