The First ITIL Version 3 Self Study Course Available

Not wanting to sound like a salesman for these guys, but finally a full self study course for ITIL Version 3 has been published:

http://itil.certification.info

MY REVIEW

I'm told that Jill is doing a full review of this in her next ITIL Newsletter, so I will keep mine short and sweet.

It is a fully downloadable course. The download instructions came instantly, and everything they promised was indeed in the zip. In fact there were a couple of extra files in there.

It is well laid out and well presented, and there is a lot to it, as has been noted on other forums.

A plus is that it explains what order to follow the course items in. Also, they don't forget that the end of the study isn't the end of the process. Revision is catered for, and there are a number of mock exams (sample questions).

Basically, I enjoyed it. Or I enjoyed it as much as it is possible to enjoy a topic like this! It was easy to get into and digest.

I would say it offers good value for the price ($199) and is a very good option for those who don't want to take the time out for the classroom approach.

Therefore, a thumbs up.

Jill has done a more formal review on this course in the current ITIL Newsletter:

I'm not sure if she read mine first, but her conclusions are similar.

Related to this, I have just heard that the exam can now be taken at Prometric and Pearson Vue. I think that EXIN is the body who set it up there.

This is a big step forward.
