Windows Monitoring and Reporting

Dear all,

Does anyone knows a FREE software which can monitor and report / alert via email

Server Errors
Disk space
Server Reboot
Software failures
and other monitoring tasks.

I have been searching for this solution for Windows 2003 Server.

There is a tool in Windows 2003 SBS server which is called Server Monitoring and Reporting.
This tool is not present in Windows Server 2003.


Can anyone please suggest me a similar FREE tool or cheap solution for Windows Server 2003.

MRTG can interface with any WMI counter logs and the results can be put in a web page such as this one on my home workstation.

You can also configure Performance Monitor Alerts to send messages when a monitored counter is outside the specified values.


Performance Monitor is part of Windows. Run PerfMon.msc.

MRTG can be obtained at oss.oetiker.ch/mrtg/.
This site has links to many add-ons and lots of documentation.
